Teacher Certification Standards
In this section of my portfolio, I will address each of the Maine Teaching Standards, including the Human Ecology Standard added by College of the Atlantic. I will address each of these standards from a pre-service teacher and student-teacher perspectives with a glimpse into my hopes, dreams, goals, and accomplishments for post-student teaching. Some of these future sections will include lessons that I taught at the College of the Atlantic after my student teaching.
Standard 1
The teacher understands how learners grow and develop, recognizing that patterns of learning and development vary individually within and across the cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, and physical areas, and designs and implements developmentally appropriate and challenging learning experiences.
